CLOSED Workshop – Quickdraw from Life

Sam Vance offers an energetic and fun approach to drawing from life. This two hour workshop utilizes basic drawing materials to capture quick poses from a live model, strengthening instinct while building on eye to hand skill. The workshop ends with a long pose while incorporating the quick-draw technique.

Media: Charcoal, conte or graphite on paper.

Sam Vance has over 25 years of experience as a professional artist and instructor. His drawing and painting approach is steeped in classical techniques with an appreciation of the Pop Art movement. The quick draw workshop is a course he has taught to children and adults of all skill levels.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced artist, you’ll love this workshop.

Students should bring: A large pad of newsprint. A large pad of white or light gray drawing paper. Drawing material of their choice: soft vine charcoal, red conte or soft graphite. Gum eraser.

Fee: $150 members/$165 non-members
