WORKSHOP – Landscape Painting


Fundamentals of Outdoor Landscape Painting

Saturday, November 10, 10 am to 4 pm

Workshop will cover everything to get started in sucessful outdoor painting and is perfect for someone who’s never tried oil paint. Demonstration and discussion to include the variety of equipment (pros/cons of each); location selection; palette set up, design and color strategies.

This course will help the artist achieve a clear focal point and enhance viewer interest through a variety of exercises. Instructor demonstration included and students will conduct exercises in oils.

The composition strategies can be applied to other mediums. Students may email the instructor photos of potential painting subjects or current work in advance at artist@mikejakubowski.com

A note taking and course book is included. Eat-in lunch provided.

This course is suggested for the beginner to intermediate level; WGAA recommends that new painters take this course prior to the Hai-Ou Hou workshop in December which will expand on the fundamental design and color mixing topics.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.
