Learn to make jewelry using Cold Connections with Master Jewelry Artists Jan and Keith Stephens. A Cold Connection is the process of joining together two pieces of metal without the use of heat or soldering. The Cold Connections Earring Class is a fun filled, contemporary jewelry making experience that combines wire and metals to create unique pieces of jewelry. In this 3.5 hour class, students will select one of the two styles of earrings shown for their project.

Each of these projects will introduce the skills of metal cutting, texturizing, riveting, punching, drilling, wire wrapping, lashing, patina and finishing. This class is for beginners or experienced students. Copper, brass, and nickel sheet metal along with copper, bronze, and silver plated wire will be used to make the earrings. The lab fee includes all instructional materials, supplies, wire and metals for the project.

KIT COST: $30 per student. The instructors will have kits that you will need to purchase directly from them on the day of the workshop. Your kit will include all of the materials needed to complete the project.

Students may need to use glasses or other vision magnification so they can see fine detail. Additional materials and tools can be purchased at fair market prices at the end of class for completing additional projects at home.
