West Orange Country Club to Host Art Exhibit and Day of Golf
The West Orange Country Club along with the Winter Garden Art Association has invited The Florida Painters, a group of local plein air artists, to participate in the display of paintings from November to January at the West Orange Country Club Clubhouse.
The display titled, “Small Town Florida: The Beauty of West Orange County,” will begin with an exhibit and talk for WOCC members and guests on November 18th and will be on display for viewing and sale, until January 7th, 2017. Paintings will feature the work of more than a dozen artists showcasing the beauty of West Orange County.
Public Viewing for the Exhibit will be Monday, December 5, 12:00 – 6:00 PM. The WOCC is offering the public a special rate of $35 for a round of golf that afternoon. The Florida Painters is a local group of professional and non-professional artists based exclusively in Central Florida. About twenty members regularly gather for camaraderie and mentorship usually painting in the tradition of the French Impressionists, en plein air, and on location for the purpose of creating spontaneous, vibrant paintings of the natural environment.
The West Orange County Club is a private club with an 18-hole golf course, three tennis courts and a tennis academy. The facility has complete dining and banquet facilities and has active social environment for both adult and junior members.
