INSTRUCTOR:
I am a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America. I am founder and past president of the first Pennsylvania District Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society. Teaching drawing and colored pencil techniques is my passion, along with creating fine art with colored pencils.
I graduated from Luzerne County Community College with an associate degree in Commercial Art. I have studied with many colored pencil master artists over the years and tried various art mediums while especially enjoying oil painting and pastel from time to time.
I have taught at many art organizations and adult art classes at local high schools in Northeast Pennsylvania and at art associations in Florida. I have been teaching colored pencil drawing for over 20 years.
My colored pencil art has been published in "Strokes of Genius 8" and in "Strokes of Genius 9". My art has won awards and has been exhibited in art galleries. My art has also been featured on the online exhibitions of COLOR magazine, by Ann Kullberg and in the Colored Pencil Society annual
international exhibition and the Explore This online exhibition featuring colored pencil and mixed media.
Inspiration comes from everything you see, hear or touch. Take time to stop and really SEE the colors in a flower, tree, sky or fur of an animal. Stop and make a mental note or a quick sketch of it, it may inspire you to create a masterpiece!
