Workshop – Intermediate Alcohol Inks

After a quick review of what techniques were taught in Introduction to Alcohol Inks, Dawn will teach you to use additional materials and surfaces including mixative, blending solution, metallic ink, glass, and aluminum boards. She will demonstrate how to use compressed air and participants will be encouraged to give it a try. In addition, how to properly UV protect and seal finished paintings will be covered.

Dawn is teaching this workshop due to popular demand by SoBo members. Those who took her Alcohol Ink class last semester were so thrilled they asked her to teach a more in-depth class just for us. She has taught her introductory workshop in a variety of venues from North Carolina to Florida, including Appalachian State University (Craft Enrichment Program), Watauga and Ashe County Arts Councils, Florence Thomas Art School, Arts League of Orange County, and Seminole County..Last year her work was exhibited in the City of Orlando Public Art Program at Leu Gardens.
